Oops! That'll teach me to close the polls without checking them first.
Thanks, kiwigene.

Well, that was hard. Just did my first casting vote in several rounds. Tough call.
As soon as it was done though it was in the hat and the next draw was done - the quarter finals. Remember, these have been drawn at random and as we have 8 excellent songs left, the pairings are far more challenging than ever. Please think long and hard about your choice as the semis will based on these. So, if you want 'your' song to go through - VOTE BABY VOTE!

Apologies, apologies, apologies. I got my dates for the QF closing date wrong. The 26th was not Wed but Thursday. Oops. Still, a promise is a promise and the poll ends on the (wrong) date as planned.
Anyway - Semis time! 4 songs (2 from TJT, 1 from AB and one from War) and two ties! Exciting or what!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, we have our final! It's a Joshua Tree derby! Can you believe it??!! Hard to believe I started this on 3rd June 2008 and now we have eliminated 219 songs to get here. I would have expected one of these to be in the final but not the other (I'll leave that for you to guess).
Gonna give myself a little break now and on Monday morning I'll set up the final match. Blimey, it will be the final match of this tournament. Rather sad when you think of it.
EDIT: Actually, I've just had a brilliant idea. I won't start the final match until Tues 10th March. Why? Well...in seven days after that it'll be....
St Patrick's Day!!!!

Thinking of doing this again soon....too much fun to leave well alone.........maybe after the next album in May 2011.
And I might include the multiple live versions of songs...
