I'm aware of a large number of rooms having been booked for U2's entourage at Sky City Grand. Whether that means the band themselves will be staying there, I'm not sure.

For the Vertigo Tour, the band were staying at some resort on a remote island just off the Auckland coast (can't remember where) and they travelled to Mt Smart via chopper.

Yep. Same as last time. I'll be crashing at the All Seasons (formerly the Formule 1) in Wyndham Street off of Queen Street. Small rooms but cheap as and most importantly very handy for The Muddy Farmer pre/post gig gatherings.  :gathering:

Oops! Sorry you did want to know where I was staying didn't you?

Last time i.e. 2006 they stayed on Michael Fays private island and on the nights of the 2 concerts they stayed at the Hyatt. I know because I got to meet them when they were going to the concert on day 2 and got my T shirt signed by Bono!! It was great.
