Auckland Free Travel Details



Here are the details re: the free travel with your U2360 concert ticket.  Note that the buses start around 4pm and the trains are from 12pm and you need to have your ticket to show them.

Thursday 25th & Friday 26 November

Venue:
Mt Smart Stadium

Gates Open 4:30pm, Supporting Act 7:30pm, Main Act 9:15pm, Predicted End Time 11:00pm

BUSES

Simply show your pre-purchased concert ticket and travel on special event buses for free*

Special bus services from will run from; North Shore Busway Stations,  Midtown and Manukau/Botany/Pakuranga. See the below table for details.

TRAINS

Simply show your pre-purchased concert ticket and travel on trains for free*

Free travel on trains with concert ticket from midday, until the end of scheduled services.
(Please check here for special train timetables closer to date)

  

REMEMBER TO RETAIN YOUR CONCERT TICKET FOR THE TRIP HOME!

To plan your journey to the concert on regular bus, train and ferry  services visit the Journey Planner and find the trip that best suits  you.

* CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL

  • Free bus and train travel applies only for the U2 360 Tour concert  on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th November at Mt Smart Stadium
  • Free bus travel applies on above special event services only
  • Free train travel starts from midday, until the end of scheduled services
  • To ride for free on specified services you must show your U2  360 Tour concert ticket on boarding. Ticket receipts are not acceptable
  • If you do not show your valid ticket normal fares on rail will  apply. Special bus service fares will be as follows: $7 North Shore, $7  Mankuau/Botany/Pakuranga, $4 Midtown
  • Tickets must be retained to show for return travel after the concert, otherwise normal fares will apply
  • While all efforts have been made to cater for expected demand,  space on these services is subject to availability and cannot be  guaranteed

So if you spent $350 on the Red Zone tickets (which you must pick up at the venue) you can't get free transport to the gig... :rolleyes2:

Maybe the theory'd be that if you can afford Red Zone you can afford to pay for your transport/limo etc....

Where is the boxoffice in Auckland where you can pick up your tickets the day before the show?

I would have thought if showed the bus/train the email with all the details to pick up your redzone tickets you should be fine. Hopefully Live Nation will get this sorted.

Best to ring up Ticketmaster - they may even have ticket offices set up at Mt Smart.

There is a Ticketek office at Sky City should be able to pick them up there. Its upstairs at the SkyCity Theatre.

Just in case anyone else is looking for this info - Ticketek confirmed:

Sky City is the only Box Office in Auckland where tickets can be collected prior to the event.
